The filter can be used in a variety of ways to create simple edits or more complicated alterations on selfies taken with any smartphone or tablet, as well as photos from social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

Pros:

Easy to use. The app is easy for users of all ages to navigate and utilize, making it a great option as an editing tool. It’s also very fun, especially when used in combination with other filters or apps that are meant specifically for selfie lovers!

Users can save their edits in addition to applying them by saving individual filters as well as entire sets of effects (think group shots). Users are also able to create custom filters using the app’s editing tools.

Cons:

The app does not have a wide range of filters. There are only about 15 options for users to choose from, making it difficult at times if you need more options and/or different kinds of effects. The limited number isn’t optimal but with the other tools available in the app like one that can be used for creating more elaborate edits and alterations, it’s not a deal breaker.

The BeautyPlus-Snap Retouch Filter does include some ads in the form of small banners placed at various points throughout your phone or tablet screen; however these are easy to ignore if you want them gone completely. The app is otherwise extremely clean and easy to use with no other distractions.
