The app is now available on the App Store, and can be downloaded directly from there. If you’re using an iPhone or iPad running iOS 10 then this version of Signal should work just fine. You will need to download it after installing your operating system if you haven’t already done so (see above step).

Downloading the app is easy as you can use your device’s built-in App Store. Sign in with a valid Apple ID, and select Signal from the list of apps that are available for download to complete installation. If you have not yet signed up for an account then simply create one by clicking the first button on this page.

Signal for Android and Signal Lite for iOS are also available, but you can only get them from Google Play or iTunes respectively as they aren’t listed in the app store just yet (the apps were recently released). Sign up to be notified when these versions of Signal become available.

Signal for Android is currently on the Google Play Store, and you can download it from there. Signal Lite has also been released to iOS users who have jailbroken their devices. The app works in a similar way as the standard version of Signal - use your phone number or email address to create an account. If you have not yet signed up for an account then create one by clicking the first button on this page.

Signal is free to use, but there are two premium options. Signal Plus costs $2 per month or $20 a year and removes ads from the app as well as special features like an offline mode for when you’re without internet access. If your version of iOS does not support push notifications then this option is also available, allowing you to receive messages without having your phone connected.

If you are looking for a secure messaging app then Signal is the best option on Android and iOS right now - it’s free, easy to use and not too complicated in its interface.
